Job Overview

The Vice President of EMS Sales is responsible for leading a national EMS sales force consisting of two Sales Directors, four Regional Sales Managers, a Federal Government Sales Manager, an Inside Sales Manager and sixty field sales professionals.  As a member of the senior leadership team this position will develop and deploy Sarnova’s EMS sales strategy and tactics in support of profitable revenue growth.

Primary Responsibiltities

·         Drives continuous sales growth by developing and communicating sales strategy and tactics that mobilize the EMS sales force to achieve and sustain superior results


·         Collaborates with Sales Directors to develop quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives by product line and geographic territory


·         Monitors and communicates progress against sales objectives through weekly, quarterly and annual sales plans


·         Reevaluates sales tactics on an ongoing basis to ensure achievement of sales goals


·         Administers sales compensation plan and determines annual sales quotas to align with annual operating plan


·         Assesses market, competitor and supplier actions and collaborates with Marketing team to ensure best in class product offering


·         Develops and sustains relationships with key customers to stay abreast of current and emerging customer needs


·         Builds and sustains a world class safes force by attracting, selecting, and retaining high caliber talent


·         Takes an active role in developing the sales team through individual performance feedback, team meetings, stretch assignments, regional sales meetings and national sales meetings


·         Empowers self and others through effective, collaborative relationships that accomplish sales objectives and creates an open and supportive work environment


·         Ensures sales team is equipped with the tools and resources to drive profitable revenue growth

Skills Required
EducationBachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent work experience
Experience Required

·         Strong business acumen with ability to plan and forecast sales on a national and regional level and by product category


·         Strong leadership capabilities with proven track record of building and sustaining high performing sales teams


·         Strategic mind set with ability to lead day to day issues


·         Advanced planning capabilities coupled with exceptional financial and analytical skills


·         Impeccable interpersonal skills appropriate to audience and selling situation


·         Strong negotiation skills with a record of favorable outcomes that are mutually advantageous to Company, supplier and customer
